Delivering a Full-Scale Product Activation for Hastings Deering

The Challenge

Hastings Deering hosted its customer conference at Brisbane’s Royal International Convention Centre, featuring keynote sessions, equipment displays and an outdoor evening event.

Microhire was engaged to deliver full production across two key areas: a high-impact plenary stage and a custom outdoor activation. The objective was to maintain consistent quality and seamless execution across both spaces.

The Solution

Microhire provided end-to-end technical production across all elements, including:

Plenary AV and Stage Design

Installed a 20-metre screen with three 20,000-lumen Christie projectors and two 10,000-lumen delay projectors
Provided full presenter support with foldback monitors and content playback
Managed all vision mixing for video, slides, and camera feeds

Lighting and Visual Impact

Delivered lighting for the indoor stage and outdoor plaza
Coordinated a lighting show to enhance the evening entertainment

Outdoor LED Display

Supplied a 5mm outdoor-rated LED wall for high-visibility content playback

Audio and Rigging

Developed tailored audio solutions for both indoor and outdoor spaces
Managed all rigging and draping across the venue

Production Support

Provided complete technical services for setup, rehearsals, live operation, and pack-down
Assigned a dedicated production team across both areas to ensure consistency
