Delivering a Premier Experience for Cricket Victoria’s Awards Gala

The Challenge

Cricket Victoria engaged Microhire to provide full technical and creative production for the Ryder Medal Gala, held at Peninsula Docklands in Melbourne.

The event honours outstanding achievements across the state’s cricket community, culminating in the prestigious Jack Ryder Medal. With over 50 individual awards and a broad mix of speeches, performances and presentations, the production needed to balance tradition, energy and polish.

The Solution

Microhire delivered full creative and technical support, including:

Staging and Visuals
- Designed the stage look with a stretched cyc backdrop and seamless digital signage towers
- Used digital totems for event branding and sponsor loops
- Installed large-screen projection for awards presentations and live-to-screen moments
Audio and Lighting
- Supplied an HK audio system to support speeches, performances and a live band
- Designed intelligent lighting to add branding, movement, colour and pattern across the venue
Creative Styling
- Coordinated creative design elements, including table styling and linen selection
Production Management
- Managed all technical operations from setup through to show execution
- Worked closely with Cricket Victoria’s event lead to ensure every detail aligned with the brief
