The Dome, Sydney Showground

Transforming One Space into Two Immersive Experiences for 1600 Guests

The Challenge

Microhire was engaged to deliver full technical production for a large-scale incentive event at The Dome at Sydney Showground. Hosting both a daytime conference and evening gala dinner for over 1,600 international delegates, the brief called for two distinct experiences in the same space with a seamless transition between formats.

The Solution

Microhire delivered a complete end-to-end production, including:

Visual and Staging Design
- Installed 12 projectors across six 44-by-12 foot projection screens
- Designed a custom hexagonal stage for both presentations and performances
- Integrated dynamic elements to transform the room between sessions
Audio and Technical Production
- Delivered tailored audio for conference speakers and more than 200 performers
- Provided rigging, intelligent lighting and special effects for maximum impact
- Ensured seamless show flow from morning to night
Production Management
- Coordinated all technical and creative elements across both events
- Led show calling, content management and media playback
- Directed international presenters and performers across both formats
