The Challenge
The AFL’s new Medallion Club pre-game function featured live interviews, acoustic sets, comedy acts, and sports commentary for over 1,800 guests.
TLA ESP engaged Microhire to deliver full technical production, including a dynamic visual backdrop, multi-camera coverage, premium lighting, and clear audio. The challenge was to create a flexible environment that supported multiple entertainment formats with consistent quality throughout.
The Solution
Microhire delivered a full-scale technical solution designed to elevate the guest experience across multiple production areas:
LED Visual Backdrop and Video Processing
- Installed a high-resolution 3mm LED stage backdrop
- Used two 20,000-lumen projectors and 20-foot delay screens for extended visibility
- Provided presenter foldback monitors for stage reference
- Mixed content using an OPS 300 processor and ATEM Production Studio 4K for three camera feeds
Theatrical and Ambient Lighting
- Designed stage lighting with Robe moving heads, Martin Mac700s, and MAC600 fixtures
- Enhanced lounge and concourse areas with 700 metres of festoon lighting and LED washes
- Added drape and plant-focused lighting to define spaces and create visual depth
Professional Audio Integration
- Provided full venue sound with the Adamson Line Array system
- Tuned all components for clear speech, music and ambient sound
End-to-End Technical Support
- Supplied full show crew, including operators and setup teams
- Managed all transitions in real time to ensure smooth, uninterrupted delivery
